The Reserve at Grogg's Green Barn
Celebrate innovation in taste and words! Join us at Groggs Green Barn for a multi-course tasting inspired by the poems of Clemonce Heard.
Clem Heard graduated with his MFA in Creative Writing from OSU last spring. Now a resident writer with the Tulsa Artist Fellowship, Clem has been honored by the Gwendolyn Brooks Centennial Poetry Prize, the Tennessee Williams Literary Festival, and the Janet B. McCabe Poetry Prize. He has published poems in Obsidian, Naugatuck Review, Four Way Review, and Opossum, and has work forthcoming in World Literature Today. Clem, a New Orleans native, is passionate about food, which inspires many of his poems.
Clem is serving as one of the Center's inaugural class of teaching artists and is offering workshops to elementary and middle school students in ekphrasis, nature writing, and poetry. Your participation in our first Poets Dinner will support writers like Clem and our programs in literary arts outreach.
