Holmes elected president of National Association of Educational Procurement board

Kevin Holmes, assistant vice president of budget and finance for OSU-Tulsa and OSU Center for Health Sciences, took over as president of the board of directors for the National Association of Educational Procurement on April 10.

As head of budget and finance for OSU in Tulsa, Holmes manages procurement, inventory, accounting, bursar and auxiliary services at both campuses. He has worked for OSU since 2000.

“It is a great privilege and honor to serve the National Association of Educational Procurement in the capacity of the President,” he said. “I have been involved with the association over the course of the past 23 years and strongly believe in the mission to providing innovative and ethical procurement education when and where it is needed.”

He has served through the ascending board roles at the regional association level and served as district representative at the national level. He also served as the procurement representative for the Oklahoma Association of College and University Business Officers soon after the position was initially created.

He has a master’s degree in higher education administration and has been certified in procurement management and fraud examination. Holmes graduated in the 46th class of Leadership Tulsa in 2011.

The National Association of Educational Procurement is a professional trade organization dedicated to the development of ethical and innovative procurement strategies within educational institutions and associated communities through collaboration, professional development, networking and advocacy.
