OSU-Tulsa Library to host Dr. Tonya Hammer for lecture series
Dr. Tonya Hammer, director of OSU-Tulsa’s Body Image and Disordered Eating (BIDE) Lab and associate professor, will be the featured speaker at noon on April 18 in North Hall 150 for the OSU-Tulsa Library’s Faculty Research Excellence Series.
During her presentation, “Taking a Look in the Mirror: Body Image from Personal to Professional,” Hammer will share her personal story about how she became interested in body image and eating disorders and will discuss current research that she and her graduate students are doing in the laboratory.

Current research in the lab includes studies focusing on:
• Body image as related to individual wellness
• Familial contributing factors to body dissatisfaction
• Contributing factors to body dissatisfaction
• LGBTQ+ and the role of body image or disordered eating in relationship satisfaction
