Film Setiquette | 2-day workshop
Feb. 19, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and Feb. 20, 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
OSU-Tulsa

The Setiquette Workshop is an intensive two-day program where students will have the chance to get on-set experience during a professional film shoot. Students will shadow and assist working professionals in various departments, including Cinematographers, Sound Mixers, Production Designers, and Assistant Directors. Students will walk away from the workshop with an understanding of how a professional film set is run and a grasp of best practices that will allow them to find work on other film sets at an apprentice level.

About the instructor

Zach Litwack is a filmmaker based out of Tulsa, OK. He has worked in the film industry and taught filmmaking in Tulsa and Chicago, IL since 2001. His fiction and documentary films have screened at numerous festivals, including The Cannes Film Festival and the Kansas City International Film Festival. He has recently begun work as a Filmmaker in Residence at Oklahoma State University, where he teaches film workshops and helps develop curriculum for the college’s burgeoning film education program. Additionally, he has worked for FireThief Productions where he directed, produced, and edited various commercial work as well as the PBS program, "Osiyo: Voices of the Cherokee People", for which he earned multiple Heartland Emmy Awards. He is in post-production on the short dark comedy, "I’m Taking You Home" and in development on the features, "Lost and Found" and "Quiet Storm".

Tri-City Collective, in partnership with KOSU, the Tulsa Artist Fellowship, and Oklahoma State University-Tulsa, created Focus: Black Oklahoma, an hour-long news and public affairs program on various topics relevant to the BIPOC communities statewide. Our show broadcasts monthly on KOSU and KWGS; both National Public Radio affiliates.

Focus: Black Oklahoma features spotlight interviews supported by stories on current topics and events in our BIPOC communities. These topics include news, politics, current affairs, education, law, arts, family, health, relationships, sports, finances, business, spirituality, technology, and more.

Focus: Black Oklahoma serves as a catalyst for change and understanding by strengthening Oklahoma's ability to create awareness for a more diverse and inclusive population.
