As a national average, employers take between 10-15 seconds to look at an applicant's resume and skim through a cover letter looking for a few key things. How do you stand apart and stand out against the other applicants? How do you captivate an employer with your resume, cover letter, and other application materials with only 30 seconds to a minute of their attention?

During this student workshop, OSU-Tulsa Career Services Coordinator Andrew Temple will provide a comprehensive and easy format for creating and/or editing your resume and cover letter into a unified story from start to end.

Career Services will also host small workshops to help you craft a resume and LinkedIn profile that highlights your experiences, strengths, values and passions—all to create a unified story of "You."

Songwriting | 3-week workshop

In this workshop, you’ll start songs from scratch and look at previous songs to see how we can shape them into something even better. Learn tips and tricks for getting out of writer’s block phases and connect with others.

About the instructor

Kat Lock has been writing songs ever since she was able to talk, initially as a party trick for friends and family. Now, with multiple albums and songs on every streaming platform you can think of, maybe she knows what she’s talking about.
