The Art of Rewriting 4-week workshop
Workshop dates: March 22, March 29, April 5 and April 12 from 7-9 p.m.

Participants will undertake rewriting an existing (unpublished) work of prose--fiction or nonfiction. Emphasis will be on rethinking such elements as formatting, pace, word choice, and--most importantly--desired readership. Attendees may either bring an older work--any medium--or create a new one for rewriting purposes.

Instructor: Michael Wright

Instructor Bio: Michael Wright is an avid explorer of writing dedicated to examining the thousand-and-one questions about what makes humans so truly wondrous and downright contrary at the same time. His works range from novels and plays to poetry, radio drama and performance art/spoken word. Each new creative effort seeks out the possibility of continual experimentation with forms and pushing the limits of expression.

LaTeX is a typesetting system for producing technical documents and is an important document standard in a number of disciplines. In this workshop, participants will gain a basic understanding of how to use LaTeX to create documents, how to write and format text, and how to format non-standard type settings. The Art of Rewriting 4-week workshop
Workshop dates: March 22, March 29, April 5 and April 12 from 7-9 p.m.
In-person or via Zoom

Participants will undertake rewriting an existing (unpublished) work of prose--fiction or nonfiction. Emphasis will be on rethinking such elements as formatting, pace, word choice, and--most importantly--desired readership. Attendees may either bring an older work--any medium--or create a new one for rewriting purposes.

Instructor: Michael Wright

Instructor Bio: Michael Wright is an avid explorer of writing dedicated to examining the thousand-and-one questions about what makes humans so truly wondrous and downright contrary at the same time. His works range from novels and plays to poetry, radio drama and performance art/spoken word. Each new creative effort seeks out the possibility of continual experimentation with forms and pushing the limits of expression.

Data Bytes - Remote Sensing with Satellites

Learn how to find the jobs most relevant to you and how to stand apart from others during the job search process.  Being proactive and looking for job opportunities in many different ways will ultimately give you greater results. Finding a position may feel easy for some part-time roles, but gets progressively more difficult as the stakes become more competitive in securing an internship or full-time job. Campus recruiting and other resources can help facilitate your job search, but you must start early so you don’t miss key deadlines or specific companies.
