Developing Optimism and Resiliency

Keynote presenter: Jonathan (J.D.) Williams from Training Evolution

When things don’t work out - learn how to “stay in the game”.  Manage your disappointment and don’t let it become who you are and how you see yourself. How you respond in the future is important – don’t push your chair back from the table, you must stay in the game – you may be moving from a loss to your next win. Make choices, reevaluate what happened. Learn, move on and refresh your ideas. Timing, the environment, organizational priorities shift and as you build your resiliency, you will more readily see the big picture. Learn how to take your power back after an idea does not resonate. Intentionally frame your thoughts as you move on to your next plan.

Building Strong Relationships: The Journey Matters

Make your own journey and your teammates road smoother and more comfortable. Being a communications expert and engaging in solid, proactive communication techniques is a competency – one that can make any project measurably better. When a relationship is entered, an opportunity is open to build trust, eliminate misconceptions and reduce fear. By proactively drawing out expectations, and at times, using empathy to ease nerves, conflict can be minimized. If a foundation of trust has been built, when an obstacle needs to be addressed, your full team can more positively confront the challenge. This event will empower participants – learning the skills to build a needed communication foundation.
