Offered on the Stillwater and Tulsa campuses or online, the graduate certificate in human resource management enables students to pursue an academic credential that can be completed in less than a year. Course work is not only meant to prepare students for professional success but to comprise part of the preparation for professional certification examinations such as the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP.

Overview

The graduate certificate in human resource management is designed to complement the Society for Human Resource Management’s (SHRM) competency model. These competencies are meant to provide the foundation for talent management throughout the HR life cycle.

 

Coursework

Required courses (12 credit hours):

  • MGMT 5133: Total Rewards
  • MGMT 5153: Talent Development
  • MGMT 5823: Talent Acquisition
  • LSB 5423: Employment Law

 

Admissions requirements and deadlines

For fall admission, application must be complete by July 1 of the same year.

 

For spring admission, application must be complete by December 1 of the prior year.

 

All transcripts from bachelor degree studies as well as a CV/resume must be submitted by the deadline in order to be reviewed for admission. Applications that are incomplete at the deadline will not be reviewed. This application does not require recommendation letters, purpose statement or entrance exams such as the GMAT or GRE.
