Community outreach staffer named to OCCJ leadership class
Melanie McClain, who leads OSU-Tulsa's community outreach efforts, was selected to join the second cohort of the Oklahoma Center for Community and Justice Inclusive Leadership training class.
The four-month program provides professionals the opportunity to develop the necessary skills and tools to become more inclusive leaders.
McClain said she looks forward to gaining new perspective during her time in the leadership program.
“In my current position at OSU-Tulsa, I feel a responsibility to ensure these three words – diversity, inclusion and equity – are more than just mere words that are written or heard, but are actively demonstrated daily in our workplace and community,” she said.
