OSU-Tulsa Marketing and Communications receives awards in annual contest

OSU-Tulsa Marketing and Communications Services received top honors in the Full Length Feature category at the recent Oklahoma College Public Relations Association Annual Conference for a story detailing the school's initiative to commemorate and educate about the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre.

"100 Years, 100 Points," received the Grand Award, the highest honor in an individual category. The story was written by Aaron Campbell, OSU-Tulsa communications coordinator and was featured in the Fall 2021 issue of STATE Magazine. The companion video to the STATE magazine story, produced by InsideOSU, received a Grand Award for Best Video feature.

Campbell also received an Excellence Award in the Featurette category for "Cherokee Nation Film Office, OSU-Tulsa partner in expanding film education."

OSU-Tulsa received Honorable Mentions for Social Media: Admissions for its Reconnect Week campaign and Website Design for CollegeParkTulsa.com.

The OCPRA Annual Awards Competition recognizes the best in contemporary communications from educational institutions, both public and private, throughout the State of Oklahoma. More than 440 entries were submitted to the competition in 41 categories.
