P3T to host Bow Wow Film Festival in memory of Blue April 23
Pete’s Pet Posse Tulsa is hosting the Bow Wow Film Festival April 23 to raise funds for a scholarship program in memory of Blue, one of Tulsa's most beloved P3T therapy dogs.
Blue and owner-handler Jessica Bradley, coordinator of OSU-Tulsa Career Services, were among the second class of P3T graduates. Blue, an Australian Shepherd, passed away recently from cancer.
The come-and-go event will be from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in North Hall 150.
The festival will feature a series of short dog-centric films - one of which highlights Blue - and popcorn and pizza will be available for donations in Blue's honor. Guests may get one pizza slice for any donation amount under $5 and unlimited pizza for $5 or more.
The scholarship will be used to help cover training and other associated costs for owner-handlers and their dogs who are selected to join P3T.
P3T began in 2015 and is an expansion of the program launched at OSU-Stillwater as part of the university’s America’s Healthiest Campus wellness initiative.
The goal of the program is to positively enhance physical and emotional health and contribute to the success of America’s Healthiest Campus Initiative launched in 2014.
