Roger Hardesty Foundation supplies new technology for aviation students

Aerospace administration and operations students at Oklahoma State University-Tulsa have access to two new high-performance laptops thanks to the Roger Hardesty Aviation Collection. A Dell Latitude 5500 laptop and a MacBook Pro were purchased by the fund specifically for aviation students to use.

“Many of our students only have one computer at home to share with the entire family,” said Dr. Mallory Casebolt, Roger Hardesty Endowed Chair in Aviation and assistant professor of aviation and space at OSU-Tulsa. “In the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, having access to a computer can be crucial to academic success.”

Students in the aerospace administration and operations program can check out the devices from the Circulation Desk in the OSU-Tulsa Library. Equipment can be checked out for seven days with a seven-day renewal upon request. Students must be on the pre-approved list of aviation students.

“We want to thank to the Roger Hardesty Foundation for helping to supply technology that allows our students to make the most of their education,” said Lynn Wallace, director of the OSU-Tulsa Library. “We’ve been able to make great use of this endowed fund to support our students as they study Aerospace Administration and Operations with hybrid classes. Partnerships like the one with the Hardesty Family Foundation create innovative solutions to address student needs.”
