Dr. Tonya Hammer has dedicated her life to helping people through her talents in counseling and teaching.

The Oklahoma State University-Tulsa associate professor in counseling and counseling psychology was recently awarded the North Central Association for Counselor Education and Supervision award based on her excellence in teaching in counseling.

Hammer discovered her passion for counseling in a very honest way. 

Human health is influenced by factors ranging from food access to social policy and personal exercise. The bachelor of science in public health degree program prepares students to bring a holistic understanding of human health to a variety of careers.

Dr. Kim Castaldi, an Oklahoma State University-Tulsa school administration doctoral candidate, has spent more than 20 years in education.

From speech-language pathologist to director of federal programs and state director of special education, Castaldi has had many experiences. Still, she had one more goal to achieve … earning a doctorate.
