Oklahoma State University, as an equal opportunity employer, complies with all applicable federal and state laws regarding non-discrimination and affirmative action.  Oklahoma State University is committed to a policy of equal opportunity for all individuals and does not discriminate based on race, religion, age, sex, color, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, disability, or veteran status with regard to employment, educational programs and activities, and/or admissions.  For more information, visit https:///

Universities are under scrutiny regarding compliance with Title IX — the Education Amendments of 1972 prohibit discrimination on the basis of gender at educational institutions that receive federal funding. Title IX is in some ways analogous to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act that prohibits employment discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, and national origin. Title VII prohibits sexual harassment in places of employment.

Title IX has broad implications. However, the most recent emphasis has been on sexual violence and its prevention. As a result, universities are making efforts to inform members of their communities about the provisions of Title VII and Title IX and to fulfill the mandates of these important pieces of legislation. Many university employees who work with students have federally mandated responsibilities for reporting possible incidents that are covered by this legislation.

As part of this effort, the OSU administration has worked to develop training for faculty and staff regarding possible incidents of sexual harassment and sexual violence. The federal requirement is to conduct regular training, which is widely interpreted as annual training. Training for full-time faculty and staff, part-time or temporary faculty and staff and student employees is now available online.

Below is a list of available online training specific to positions at OSU. Once you have determined the training specific to your position, please read through the instructions carefully.
