Prospective Students

Request an
Advising Appointment

Prospective undergraduate students:
Use this form to schedule an advising appointment to discuss your transfer plans and explore how the classes you are taking at your current school apply to your OSU bachelor's degree.

You can meet with an OSU-Tulsa advisor as early as your first semester at your two-year school.

Current or prospective students can also call the Advising Center at 918-594-8271 to schedule your appointment. Do not call an advisor directly to schedule an appointment.

Advising appointments are available in-office or over the phone. Walk-in advising is available at certain times throughout the year--check with Advisement Services to learn more.  Graduate students are advised by their designated faculty advisor and should contact their program coordinator for information.

Preparing for Your Advising Appointment

Current OSU-Tulsa students are required to fill out an Academic Plan prior to advising appointments in order to better prepare them to discuss their enrollment.

Prospective OSU-Tulsa students can download and fill out the Prep Plan to give a starting point for discussing transfer and enrollment.

Download the General Advising Syllabus for more information on these requirements and to keep as a handy guide to advising services at OSU-Tulsa.

Tips for Scheduling Your Advising Appointment

Current OSU Students

  • Have your major, CWID, contact phone number and a calendar with you. Use the online STAR system or call the Advising Center at 918-594-8271 to schedule your appointment. Do not call an advisor directly to schedule an appointment.
  • If you are scheduling an appointment to enroll for next semester, refer to the online enrollment schedule for your enrollment date, which is based on total earned hours. You are eligible to come in one week prior to that date.
  • For appointments regarding issues other than enrolling (such as changing your major, adding a minor, etc.), you may come in any time. Please notify the front desk if you are changing your major, as you need to meet with your new advisor.
  • Add/Drop cards do not require an advising appointment unless you wish to speak to your adviser first. Be aware of Add/Drop deadlines.
  • If you need special accommodations during your appointment, please explain when scheduling your appointment.
  • If you would like to make a phone appointment, request that when scheduling your appointment.
  • Call 918-594-8271 to reschedule your appointment if you are going to be late.
  • Arrive 15 minutes early to your advising appointment and bring your orange advising folder and completed Academic Plan.
