“Youth Explosion” event celebrates Black History Month with food and fun at OSU-Tulsa

Several Tulsa-area schools will come together on the OSU-Tulsa campus on Feb. 28 at 6 p.m. to put on song, dance and spoken word performances in honor of Black History Month during the second annual OSU-Tulsa Community Youth Explosion event.

Free, public author talk explores Tulsa’s lingering legacy of urban renewal with Greenwood photographer

Tulsa author and National Magazine Award nominee Victor Luckerson will discuss the personal and political impacts of urban renewal with nationally recognized local photographer Don Thompson at OSU-Tulsa Auditorium on Feb. 1, 2024, juxtaposing visuals from government sources with Thompson’s on-the-ground photography of how Greenwood residents experienced those tumultuous years.

Beloved former OSU-Tulsa president receives dedication in her honor

Two free film workshops and a $5 film screening usher in inaugural Indian Territory Film Festival

Tulsans can kick off Indigenous Peoples Weekend on Thursday, Oct. 5 with free masterclass filmmaking workshops from Native filmmakers and screenings of short Indigenous films at Oklahoma State University-Tulsa and an early screening of the feature film “Fancy Dance” at Circle Cinema.
