Style Guides
Each academic discipline has specific guidelines for organizing materials and citing sources. The OSU-Tulsa Library has commonly used citation style guides for APA, MLA, and Chicago available in print. In addition, online resources such as the Purdue Online Writing Lab offer tutorials, sample citations and papers for the most frequently used citation styles.

APA
APA (American Psychological Association) formatting and style guide created by the Purdue Online Writing Lab (OWL). Commonly used to cite sources in the social sciences.
MLA
MLA (Modern Language Association) formatting and style guide created by the Purdue Online Writing Lab (OWL). Commonly used to cite sources in the liberal arts and humanities.
Chicago
Chicago Manual of Style (CMOS) formatting and style guide online. Commonly used to cite sources in business, history and the fine arts.
