Oklahoma State University-Tulsa will celebrate the Class of 2024 with its graduation ceremony at the Union Multipurpose Activity Center (UMAC) on Monday, May 13 at 6:30 p.m. The ceremony will also be streamed live on insideosu.com.
“We’re excited to celebrate not only the accomplishments of our graduates, but also the transformative power of education,” said Dr. Johnny Stephens, interim president of OSU-Tulsa and president of OSU Center for Health Sciences. “These graduates have taken a major step towards improving their lives and careers, and many did so while working full time jobs, raising families and meeting other commitments. It’s inspiring to see them continue those steps across the graduation stage with the knowledge, skills and credentials they need to make a positive difference in their communities and beyond.”
Tulsa business owner and OSU alumna Tina Parkhill is scheduled to speak at the ceremony. She is the owner of Parkhill’s South Liquors and Wine in Tulsa. Parkhill has also served on the OSU-Tulsa Board of Trustees, was the Chair of the OSU Alumni Association Board of Directors and was recently honored as one of the 2024 Cowboy100.
Ashlyn Fiegener, assistant professor in the College of Education and Human Sciences, and Amanda Morris, Regents Professor and George Kaiser Family Foundation Chair in the College of Arts and Sciences, will serve as grand marshals. Fiegener and Morris are the recipients of the 2023 OSU-Tulsa President’s Outstanding Teaching Award and the 2023 OSU-Tulsa President’s Outstanding Research Award, respectively.
