A guide for families

Finding the right college option for youNo matter where you are in life, you can go to college.

Whether you're fresh out of high school, an adult wanting to start college for the first time or someone who started college but had to take a break, it's the right time to start.
You may be the first in your family to attend college, or you may be continuing a proud tradition of college graduates. As Oklahoma’s largest university system, OSU has a campus experience that’s right for you.

Opportunities for undocumented students

Some undocumented students think they can’t go to college or university. However, there are no federal or state laws that stop undocumented immigrants from being admitted to universities. No laws require students to show proof of citizenship to enroll. Still, different schools have their own rules about admitting undocumented students.

OSU and OSU-Tulsa welcome undocumented students as a part of the Cowboy family and will help you apply for admission.

It's easy to get started

The journey to college starts by talking to an admissions counselor, who will answer all of your questions and guide you through the application process. After applying, you’ll meet with an academic advisor who can help you understand your major and plan your classes.

You can schedule a campus visit in Tulsa or Stillwater at any time to meet staff and see where you’ll be studying. Before your first semester you will also attend New Student Orientation, which will give you all of the tools you need to succeed at college.
