OSU-Tulsa is proud to support the Tulsa Area United Way. Help us hit our goal of raising $30,000 to support Tulsa area charities during our 2025 United Way fundraising campaign.
Donations paid to participate in these campaign events will go directly to supporting non-profits that help families in our community – so please sign up, have fun and give back!

2025 Fundraising Events

Saturday, Aug. 23

Photo at 6th and Main St. Balloon Arch

United Way Kick-off

  • Snap a photo at the United Way Kick-off

    Time: 8 A.M.

    Location: Downtown Tulsa

    United Way will have a balloon arch at Sixth and Main St. at 8 a.m. and OSU-Tulsa employees are invited to attend dressed in OSU orange to represent OSU-Tulsa! Snap a photo and email it to Aaron Campbell.

Cookout with Capt. Galbraith

Campaign Kick-off

  • Kick-off our OSU-Tulsa campaign with lunch

    Time: 12-1:30 P.M.

    Location: OSU-Tulsa

    Kick-off the OSU-Tulsa Campaign with us featuring a cookout with OSU Police Capt. Galbraith! Employees will also be able to hear from a community speaker about the impact of United Way giving.

    • $10 will include a lunch of hamburger, hotdog, chips, dessert and water.

Thursday, Sept. 11-Thursday, Sept. 24

Various Fun Fundraising Activities

  • Baby Picture Guessing Game

    Time: Sept. 11-23

    Location: OSU-Tulsa

    Submit your baby picture and guess the identity of other baby photos for a chance to win a prize! Donate $5 to submit your guesses. Email photos (age 1 year old or younger) to Kristi Taylor by Sept. 5. Turn in guessing cards by Sept. 23. More details will be shared via email.

  • Penny Wars

    Time: Sept. 11-23

    Location: OSU-Tulsa

    Compete in teams of 5 to collect the highest count of pennies. Teams can be made within or outside of your department. Only pennies count towards your total, silver changes and dollars will count against you. Turn in your team jar on Sept. 23.

  • Jeans Passes

    Time: Sept. 15-26

    Location: OSU-Tulsa

    Purchase Jeans Passes to wear jeans to work. Passes are $2 for one day, $5 for one week and $10 for two weeks.
  • BINGO

    Time: Sept. 17, 12-1 p.m.

    Location: Pete's Pop-Up Kitchen

    BINGO cards are $1 each to play and winners will receive prizes!

  • Department Basket Silent Auction

    Time: Sept 18-25

    Location: OSU-Tulsa

    Departments are invited to donate a themed basket for auction and employees will be invited to bid. Participating departments should email tulsa.unitedway@okstate.edu with their basket theme by Sept. 16 and turn in baskets by Sept. 18.

  • Pie in the Face

    Time: Sept. 25

    Location: OSU-Tulsa

    Purchase pie-throwing tickets to be put in a raffle or be the highest bidder during a silent auction for pie-throwing tickets. Tickets for the raffle will be $1 each. Raffle tickets need to be purchased by Sept. 23 and the silent auction for tickets will end Sept. 25. The employees of honor (those who will be pied) will be announced with more details via email.

Volunteer at Emerson Elementary

Day of Caring

  • Volunteer for 2025 United Way Day of Caring

    Time: 8-11 A.M.

    Location: Emerson Elementary

    Join us to help with landscape work outside of the school. Email tulsa.unitedway@okstate.edu by Sept. 5 if you are interested in volunteering.

Thursday, Sept. 25

Chili and Dessert Cookoff

OSU-Tulsa Campaign Finale

  • Finale Fun feat. our popular Chili & Dessert Cookoff

    Time: 12-2 P.M.

    Location: OSU-Tulsa

    Employees are invited to enter a chili or dessert into the competition with prizes awarded to winners in each category. Those interested in participating should email tulsa.unitedway@okstate.edu or fill out the online form to register to bring chili or dessert by Sept. 22.

    Tasting kits will be $10 and tasters will vote on their favorite chili and dessert.

Ways to Give

OSU-Tulsa employees have many options to give or pledge to United Way includingpayroll deduction, bill me, bank draft, credit card, check or cash.
Employees do not turn in pledge cards for payroll deductions, bill me or bank draft. Amounts are deducted from the first paycheck of the month for bi-weekly employees and on the month-end payroll for monthly employees
