Students in the PSM program can complete all the following industry-related training as part of the graduate curriculum:
- 40-hour HAZWOPER training certification
- 8-hour DOT training certification
- 8-hour RCRA training certification
- 30-hour OSHA General Industry training certification

Flexible Course Delivery
Courses for the Environmental Science, PSM degree can either in a HyFlex format or fully online.
Hyflex format gives students options to attend classes in-person, online in real-time or asynchronously online—assessing the course materials at a time that works best for them. Hyflex students can switch between course delivery options, allowing for the most flexibility to adapt to their schedules—perfect for adults already in the workforce.
The fully online delivery is offered with OSU's OneRate making this a cost-effective option and simplifies the process for employer reimbursement programs as employees earn a graduate degree.

Add on Regulatory Certifications
The program also offers a 12-hour graduate certificate in Regulatory Certifications that can be earned independently or concurrently with the full program.
The graduate certificate coursework incorporates the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the U.S. Occupational, Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) and the U.S. department of Transportation (DOT) certification requirements. OSU is the only university in the State of Oklahoma that offers all four courses for graduate credit.
