OK-Share Library Card

About the card

The OK-Share Library Card is a courtesy card which gives students, staff, and faculty at the OSU-Tulsa campus limited borrowing privileges with other participating academic libraries.

How do I get one?

A borrower in good standing must fill out and sign an application at their home library, agreeing to abide by the policies of the lending libraries. When the application is approved, the borrower will be issued an OK-Share Library Card. Student cards are issued for the current semester. Faculty/Staff cards are issued for one year.

How do I know which academic libraries participate?

Most public academic institutions and a select number of private universities in Oklahoma participate in the OK-Share program. To identify if an institution participates please check the current list of OK-Share Participating Libraries.

How does it work?

Present your OK-Share Card at the check-out desk of the lending library. A photo I.D., such as a driver's license, may also be required. The lending library may place a barcode on your OK-Share Card or provide a courtesy card to be used at that specific lending library. This card must be presented EACH time you borrow materials.

Books must be returned to the library where they were borrowed. Remember, you are legally responsible for all items checked out in your name; lost or damaged items, and for all fines and fees.

OK-Share policy allows a lending library to bill your home institution if you do not return an item to the lender. If an OSU-Tulsa patron utilizes OK-Share without returning an item and OSU-Tulsa is directly charged for that item, the OSU-Tulsa library will charge the OK-Share user the billed amount and will revoke the OK-Share card.

The OK-Share Library Card is made available to you through an agreement adopted by members of the Oklahoma Council of Academic Library Directors.
