Earn your MPH online
The MPH program focuses on training public health professionals to improve health
and well-being of rural and underserved populations. The MPH has an embedded graduate
certificate that can be earned as a stand alone certificate (12 hours) or on the way
to the full graduate degree completion.
MPH Programs
The master’s in public health program is designed to prepare public health professionals
to improve the health and wellbeing of rural and underserved populations. Some students
may be interested in earning a graduate certificate in Public Health (12 hrs) to expand
their career opportunities.
A Passion for Community
MPH students enter the program with passion to change their communities, to prevent
injury and disease, and we give them the skills and tools to accomplish these changes
in their communities.
Current MPH Students
Current students study health behaviors and health outcome areas that include: the
use of alcohol, tobacco, other drugs, mental health, disabilities, zoonotic diseases,
nutrition and food security, obesity, physical activity, maternal and child health,
teen pregnancy and sexual health. These students are meaningfully engaged with rural
communities throughout Oklahoma and underserved populations that include indigenous
populations, racial minorities, recent immigrants, and sexual minorities.
