OSU Math Placement Exam
Oklahoma State University requires all incoming freshman and transfer students to complete the Math Placement Exam to access preparation for math courses. The OSU Math Placement Exam is designed to find the strengths and weaknesses of students' mathematical knowledge, report results to students, and, if necessary, provide online learning modules for improving their knowledge to prepare for the appropriate course.
Oklahoma State University has found through years of analysis that ACT and SAT scores are not a strong predictor of student success in college math courses. The OSU Math Placement Exam is a much better predictor of what content students know and what material they are ready to learn next.
Additional information regarding the OSU Math Placement exam can be found here.

Retest Policy
Students must wait 24 hours between exam attempts and are permitted no more than five attempts in an 11-month period (including practice exams).
The test is highly reliable, and a student's score is unlikely to change between subsequent testing sessions unless action is taken through using the learning modules in the OSU Math Placement Exam, participation in tutoring sessions or participation in some other type of math refresher activity. Students can access learning modules by logging back into the OSU math placement exam system. An option to access the learning modules will be available.
