OSU-Tulsa teams with Tulsa Drillers to manage parking for ONEOK Field events
Wednesday, April 3, 2024
Oklahoma State University-Tulsa has engaged the Tulsa Drillers to manage paid fan parking on campus for events at ONEOK Field, including Tulsa Drillers games. The new partnership begins with FC Tulsa’s match on Friday, April 5 and the Drillers home opener on Tuesday, April 9.
Parking for fans attending Drillers games, FC Tulsa soccer matches and other special events at ONEOK Field will be $6 per vehicle. Lot entrances are accessible from Elgin and Greenwood Avenues and from John Hope Franklin Boulevard. The lots are lighted and patrolled by OSU Police officers.
“We look forward to providing a quality parking experience for fans attending Drillers games and other events at ONEOK Field,” said Ashley Jackson, director of fiscal affairs at OSU-Tulsa. “This arrangement will improve traffic flow on campus, help us use our resources more efficiently and contribute to maintenance of our parking lots.”
OSU-Tulsa students attending classes, employees working on campus and guests for university events will continue to access the school’s lots at no charge.
“OSU-Tulsa has been a great neighbor for the Drillers and ONEOK Field ever since our very first opening day in downtown Tulsa and has always worked with us to provide easy and convenient parking,” said Drillers President Mike Melega. “The change to a paid parking lot will allow OSU-Tulsa to continue to provide great parking while also offsetting some of their costs to maintain the area. It will now make it possible for our fans to use the lot for any of our 69 home dates and not just weekend dates, and we appreciate the opportunity to manage OSU-Tulsa’s parking operation so that we can work to provide the great customer service that our fans deserve and expect.”
