Free “Warm Winter Wishes” event invites seniors for helpful seminars and holiday cheer
Thursday, December 11, 2025
Oklahoma State University-Tulsa will host “Warm Winter Wishes,” a free holiday event aimed at senior citizens aged 55 and above on Dec. 13 from 11 to 2 p.m. in the Main Hall Commons. The come-and-go event features a mix of mini-resource seminars, live performances, food and holiday fun.
The event kicks off with a “Jingle Dance” performed by students from Solid Foundation Preparatory Arts Academy, continues with a performance from the Carver Middle School Choir, and wraps up with a line dancing lesson.
Two information sessions will take place during the event as well, including a fraud and scams seminar with J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., and a living will and trusts seminar with Stephanie R. Jackson PC.
“We know the holiday season isn’t always a time of cheer for some of our golden senior citizens,” said Alnetta Morris, community engagement coordinator at OSU-Tulsa. “We want to provide an opportunity for older members of the community to embrace and enjoy the holiday season, while also offering expert financial education during a time when many might have questions about their money.”
Participants can also enjoy BINGO, arts and crafts, vendor resources and photos with Santa Claus and The Grinch. A full list of activities can be found on the event webpage on the OSU-Tulsa website.
The event is free but registration is highly encouraged. Interested participants can register at bit.ly/WarmWinterWishesDec13.
