Emergency Aid Scholarship Program
The Emergency Aid Scholarship Program is to provide financial support to undergraduate students who experience disruptive, one-time, non-academic emergency expenses while attending OSU-Tulsa.
Award amount
- Maximum payment up to $1,500 at the discretion of the selection committee.
- Students may be eligible for a second award if they have previously received an Emergency Aid Scholarship.
- Eligible expenses include, but are not limited to the following:
- Internet, cell phone, car payments, car repairs, rent, utilities, medical expenses and prescriptions, child care and essential living expenses.
- Ineligible expenses include, but are not limited to the following:
- Tuition and fees, legal fees, parking tickets, bail or a bill owed at another university.
Criteria for Consideration
- Minimum GPA: 2.50 or above
- Need-based: Yes, recipients must be eligible for the Federal Pell Grant.
- Academic level: Undergraduate
- Enrollment status: Part-time (At least 6 hours completed at OSU-Tulsa*)
- Campus: OSU-Tulsa
- Additional Criteria:
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours.
- Must be a currently enrolled in at least 6 credit hours at OSU-Tulsa as an undergraduate student.
- A current year Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file.
- OSU-Tulsa undocumented undergraduate students who are receiving My Dream, Pathways or EDGE scholarships may also apply for this emergency funding even though there will not be a FAFSA completed.
* OSU-Tulsa courses state TUL in the campus field.
