Staff Service Awards
Orange Pride Award
The Orange Pride Award recognizes employee excellence among the OSU-Tulsa staff. The award is presented quarterly
to a member of the OSU-Tulsa staff who demonstrates outstanding customer service skills
and efforts above and beyond their normal job duties.
Annual Service Awards
OSU-Tulsa also offers two annual service awards for employee excellence. Both awards recognize outstanding leadership skills, effective communication skills and/or involvement in the community.
The Max Minor Service Award is for staff members who have served at least one year at the OSU-Tulsa campus. Funded
in memory of OSU-Tulsa employee Max Minor by friends and co-workers, the award is
generally given to an Academic Affairs staff member who has demonstrated a commitment
to OSU-Tulsa. Other considerations include outstanding leadership skills, effective
communication skills and/or involvement in the community.
The Roberta Joan Cothran Hess Award is awarded for exemplary staff members who work at the OSU-Tulsa campus and was funded
in honor of Roberta Joan Cothran Hess by Dr. James Hess. The award is generally given
to a staff member from the Administration and Finance groups or from Marketing and
Communications Services who have displayed an ability to excel in their work. Other
considerations include outstanding leadership skills, effective communication skills
and/or involvement in the community.
All OSU-Tulsa employees are eligible to nominate fellow employees who work on the OSU-Tulsa campus. Recipients will be chosen by the Executive Team. Each recipient will receive a $500 cash award and campus recognition.
