The OSU-Tulsa Difference

Our campus is located in the heart of Tulsa's historic Greenwood District, putting us in the middle of a metropolitan area of more than 1 million citizens with a broad spectrum of mental health needs. The Tulsa region is home to several organizations and agencies who employ mental health counselors, as well as major school districts and dozens of private schools.

OSU-Tulsa counseling students gain experience and prepare for their careers by offering therapy sessions to the community, as well as OSU students, faculty and staff, at the Al Carlozzi Center for Counseling. This on-campus counseling center offers essential services to the community and campus populations.

Our campus is also home to the Body Image and Disordered Eating (BIDE) Lab, which includes research participation from master’s and doctoral counseling students. In collaboration with community partners, the research-to-action lab studies how body image plays a role in social justice, cultural diversity and individual and collective health.

I made lots of important connections and the professors at OSU-Tulsa are top-notch. The convenience of the class times and the scholarship opportunities are huge. I graduated from OSU-Tulsa and immediately got my dream job. It’s pretty cool to be 25 years old and get the perfect job right away.
